You can cross:-

Dover to Calais

Dover to Dunkerque

Newhaven to Dieppe

Portsmouth to Le Havre

or  P and O ferries. The cheapest crossing is from Dover to Dunkerque.

TRAIN

Montignac does not have a railway station or a good public transport system. There are just a few not very frequent buses to Sarlat and Brive. However it is possible to get to Brive by train from Paris. Other nearby railway stations are Perigueux and Condat. Railway pick up can be arranged. It is possible to have an enjoyable holiday at ‘Les Granges’ without a car or using bikes and some guests do this. Montignac has a very good choice of restaurants, cafes and shops all within easy walking distance  but a car is preferable and necessary for visiting other towns and sites of interest.
