The Montignac Festival is to take place again this year, 2024.
The annual music and dance festival in Montignac takes place in various locations in the town from the end of July to the first week of August and culminates with dance troupes from different countries performing and dancing through the streets of Montignac and a huge firework display on the banks of the river. There are concerts and village barbecues every night and the town is busy and vibrant.
The Montignac festival concludes with a parade through the streets and a late night firework spectacular.
There are many other interesting festivals of music, mime and theatre in nearby villages and towns throughout the summer. The tourist office in Montignac is always happy to tell you about these. There are often wonderful music concerts in Montignac church and in the churches at the beautiful nearby villages of St Genies and St Leon sur Vezere.
In the stunning medieval town of Sarlat about a 25 minute drive from Les Granges, street entertainers, artists and musicians perform in the cobbled streets and squares during the summer months.
